Geoff Walker
Geoff currently has 2,173 photos of 518 Australian bird species on Bushpea.
Geoff was born in Australia and resides in Brisbane where he earns a living as an optometrist.
Not content to having lenses dominate his working hours, Geoff spends his leisure time peering through a Canon 100-400 zoom mounted on a Canon body looking for birds to photograph.
A great believer in Canon equipment, Geoff has progressed from a Canon 400D through several upgrades to currently using a Canon 5D with a 7D for backup.
A further piece of equipment in Geoff's arsenal is a portable hide, bought for him by his wife, Sandy, after Geoff told her that it would make him invisible.
Although his work keeps him busy, whenever he has a free day Geoff can be found at one of his favourite birding spots somewhere in south-east Queensland and occasionally much further afield.
Each time he asks Sandy if he can head off on yet another birding trip, she says "Again! You've got a hide!", which of course Geoff interprets as approval.
