They may not be native to Australia, they may be a pest in orchards and the like but I couldn't help but be amused when I watched this flock perched on a length of power lines. One extra starling would arrive and push its way onto the power line between two other birds. These two birds would then obligingly move slightly to the side and then the next bird to them and so on all the way down the line causing the bird equivalent of a 'Mexican' wave.
